Daniel J. Ferris is an Associate with Kerr, Russell and Weber, PLC.  Mr. Ferris maintains a broad litigation practice focusing on commercial disputes and professional liability defense.  His clients include construction companies, automotive manufacturers, and health care providers.  Mr. Ferris works on behalf of many Michigan-based businesses and Michigan residents, but his practice is also international in scope.  Mr. Ferris is experienced in representing foreign corporations in Michigan courts.

Mr. Ferris has represented clients in both trial and appellate proceedings and has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution methodologies, including arbitration and mediation.  He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice before the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Ferris is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with high distinction.  He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society and named a James B. Angell Scholar in recognition of his academic achievement.  Mr. Ferris received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.  He served as an editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law and completed a trial advocacy program at the Northwestern University School of Law.  Mr. Ferris was also an instructor at the University of Michigan.  He taught courses that focused on advanced writing.  Mr. Ferris has remained involved in education by serving as a judge for moot court competitions at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law Schools.
